Clutch Switch Question

Post by ironpmpr1 »

I have a 76 R90\6 I am currently in the process of rejuvenating. I need to replace the missing clutch switch that is located on the clutch control lever. When I removed the old broken one I found it was not connected to any of the electrical connections in the headlight. Could someone tell me which terminals it is supposed to be connected to? Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

That switch should have a brown and a brown/yellow wire. The brown joins its friends in the ground area of the little board. The brown/yellow should be similar--look also for the mark "85b" in that area. As it's a simple switch, it's probably no big deal if the wires are reversed.
Call me Mel. Some years ago- never mind how long precisely- having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me at home, I thought I would ride about a little and see the other parts of the world.

Also, that switch is just there to prevent starting the bike in gear. It can be eliminated by connecting the wires together. Remember to pull in clutch lever before starting...
