For when the Boxerworks Forum goes out

Post by dwerbil »

Save the link below and log on to the Boxerworks Forum alternate Yahoo Groups site.....

http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/altbwforum/

There's about 60 of us with membership there which allows one to stay in touch when the message board goes batty. One can read the Yahoo Group posts on-line or elect to have postings emailed to their own email address.

Cheers!

I'm glad you posted the link Randy. When Boxerworks goes down altbmwforum truly reduces my stress level, by at least 70%.

For those who may not know, we have Joan to thank for setting up altbmwforum. Those were dark times and we still have recurring eclipses.

I would love to know exactly how you quantified this stress. I experience something similar, but I've never been able to put my finger on the numbers. ;)

In this light, probably the most overused percentage comment is, "99% of the time....."

Really Bad News

Post by Deleted User 287 »

ME109 is getting really frustrated over his connection. I'm sure others have seen his messages on the Alt board:

Just before I was on, logged in, clicked on speakeasy and got redirected to outer space again.
I’m getting tired of this.
Adieus amigos.
Sure don't want to lose Jeff!!!

Thanks Rob, but I've been lost for years.
I got in down the chimney this time. I've cleared my caches, vacuumed the floors, even changed my shorts but there's still some strange shit going on.

This is where my computer ignorance shines brightest.

Direct searches through google and firefox send me to strange places and 'server not found messages.

Just spent an hour+ on the phone with my telco.

They had remote access to my puter and were trying all sorts of things.
Sounds like spammers got hold of my modem, but only with trying to access Boxerworks.

It appears rebooting the modem has got rid of them.
