And Duane is RIGHT...It is a VERY SIMPLE SYSTEM. Beats a lot of fancy electronics that you have no prayer of fixing if you are out on the road somewhere...

Just got in from test ride on the r90. Jean was wright, a stretched timing chain. With new chain and tentioner. Everything is as is should be. Thanks again for all who contributed

Now, some of the other things we told you about are worth noting in the years to come.
I put off doing my chain for a long time but it finally HAD to happen. Made a difference in the noise coming from the engine, too!
