What Spanner Wrench to Adjust Monoshock?

Post by captmako »

New guy here - Central Florida. When temps. drop below 90 degrees F., I work on updating my '86 R80 naked bike.
I see evidence on the underside of the rear fender that the tire is rubbing on the fender. I would like to adjust the
monoshock to dial-up the pre-load. Hopefully the monoshock is not shot. Is there a specific hook spanner that effectively works on that monoshock? Thanks in advance and very happy to find this site.

Probably #14 here:

It says it's ended, so likely not available. There may be "universal" shock wrenches...consider checking with local motorcycle shops.

Thanks Kurt for the heads-up. I believe my ole' took kit is complete and maybe I have that spanner. Thanks again.

Update: success - spanner was in my kit and turned-up the adjuster on the monoshock. Still sorting out some other
issues so can't ride it right now. I bet it works just fine now.
