Yeah, I've got the same thing going on with the Kombi. Muriel starts with a hand gesture, moves on to "Slow Down" and eventually gets to "Slow Down, Asshole!"Garnet wrote:That certainly taxes the 13hp available. Rides are a mix of love and hate. I love that I can keep up and usually ahead of average traffic while getting 37 to 39 kilometers to a liter of regular petrol. I hate when I'm at the bottom of a long hill and that car I was about to pass just drives off into the distance only to hold me up in the next set of curves.Sibbo wrote:Garnet, a 125 is an unusual ride for we ... um, older blokes . If I may ask , how much do you weigh and how does it go with you aboard ?
I know there was a thread on it when you bought it but I can't find it.
I'm still considering a smaller bike too.
And that last comment leads to the real cause of my accident. I try and make up for the lack of power by not slowing enough for the corners. I have had a feeling of impending doom for the last few weeks as I found myself out pacing the sane internal speed limits that one sets for ones self. I had been considering other bikes that I could somehow ride more slowly but yet have the same amount of fun, be as economical and as easy to live with as the wee Honda.
I now have an answer, anything is more fun than a broken collar bone.
And then we come to a hill, and the same Buick goes by, only to nail the brakes at the top of the hill and the end of the passing lane.......
