That muffler, dual Siamese thing that it is, looks contrived. It reminds me of that Harley that was supposed to appeal to non Harley riders.
In my view, that bike doesn't hold a candle to the R1200S.

Re: New R bike?
It's more direct competition is the R1200R. I've seen lots of comments on sites suggesting the R1200R is far superior. It depends on what you want from the bike, of course, but, for me, they're right: the R1200R is a far better motorcycle. As a toy to play on, the new machine is a bit lighter and more nimble, but it's not worth what you lose . . . to me. Everyone has their own ideas about what the most important features are.Chuey wrote:That muffler, dual Siamese thing that it is, looks contrived. Uh-huh. And do you remember all of the "specials" to come out of Japan in the late Seventies?Zombie Master wrote:Seems an awful lot like this bike.

I think they were supposed to look like Harleys until the factories could come up with their "metric cruiser" line. (stop-gap? )

That's the one I mentioned in my page one reply, along with the Ducati Monster.Zombie Master wrote:Seems an awful lot like this bike.

The Griso can be setup with bags at least, though they'd be small.
