Never again complain about BMW parts prices
As many of you may remember, I am selling out my old parts. Basically, I am selling out just about everything because we will sell the house in the spring. I gotta get rid of tons of stuff.
I just had a few auctions end with surprising results. The winning bids for a points plate with very good points, a nearly new mechanical /5 advance unit and a good alternator rotor all sold for $9.99 each.
Does this mean that everyone already has a spare rotor for carrying on trips. That would be good news, but I would think that there is still one rider who didn't yet find one.
Has everyone converted out of points and has no use for a really good set with the entire points plate. This one was taken out of service when nearly new and isn't buggered up like the one in your bike.
Nobody is using the old mechanical advance units any more either? Good news.
It is comforting to see that everyone here already has a full stock of spare parts.

I will say this Duane, you have a weird way of listing your parts. Most people will not find your parts in a search.

Tim's point may be important too, but the Christmas thing is definitely part of it. This is a terrible time to auction those kinds of items.

Tim, I just clicked on the link to my meters and I easily found that all three are described as to brand, what they measure and the size.
What is screwed up is the text is all jammed up. When I type it out it looks good.
MS, I quit listing due to the holidays. Also, I don't want to be going to the post office and stand in a long line. I have to look at all of the very poorly wrapped packages that have a good chance to be damaged in transit. People should stop wrapping a box in paper, that wasn't a good idea 50 years ago when it was popular.
I always double address things. Nearly all get double packaged too. In about 1700 sales, I only have one negative feedback. It was due to packing. It was my fault in that I sent it on just like it came to me from BMW. It was good enough to get here from Germany and sit in storage for 35 years, but not good enough to go across the USA and survive. I even offered him his money back. Some people can't be satisfied.

I'm sorry if I was not clear, what I meant was the key words have to be in the title of the listing, not the description.

Duane,
I have you as a followed seller on e-bay. I was going to bid on the advance unit last night, but I got busy and the time skipped by. I did get those neat /6 tool kit feeler gauges from you, does that count?
