They have good engineering and manufacturing, the issue is in their dealership supply network. Dealers have been forced to take bikes apart to get parts. Obviously, this new twin represents a huge investment, all in hopes of capturing some piece of the US and European bike market.

It's going to be interesting to see if they can pull it off.

There's a guy on Jay Leno's Garage who made a V-twin using the existing top ends off an RE Bullet. To build a nice twin cyl engine quickly, that to me seems like a safer way to go for several reasons. I would have canted the cylinders much further forward than he did, like the first Ducati twins, or the V-Strom... but that's just me. 180° and 360° vertical twins have so many inherent issues.

Heck, even a transverse BMW or Guzzi inspired twin, using the Bullet heads and cyls would have been safer. Ability to negotiate very narrow streets and parking spaces must have been an issue !
