On Nikasil cylinders with the cross hatch still showing I would not worry about the pistons and cylinders. Ring gap is the only issue there and is easily checked. Pay the bucks on your heads, your cylinders are more than fine.gertiektn wrote:Oiling cylinder.. build up of carbon.. it points to checking the roundness of the cylinder, checking the rings for breaks, and checking cylinder fit and ring specs.
