I've noticed with Max that their internal linking isn't perfect. Search for a rear tyre to fit a R60/6, there's no match... for a R80, there are several. Both bikes use the same tyre.

Re: tire size
The only brands I see available for purchase are Continental,Metzeler, and Michelin.Rob Frankham wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 1:55 pm I've noticed with Max that their internal linking isn't perfect. Re: tire size
I can confirm this. I managed to get the rear off and on in a nighttime incident late last summer but managed to poke a hole in the tube and was therefore unsuccessful. I did find the piece of steel wire that caused the flat.lrz wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 8:06 amThose are tough to spoon.jagarra wrote: ↑Sat Feb 29, 2020 9:36 pm Michelin makes them in inch sizes for the BMW https://www.bikebandit.com/tires-tubes/ ... 3?m=143994
Regarding MAX, it is also noteworthy to me that they've stopped offering Avon tyres; at least as per the /7 fiche.
If metric has become common, probably I'll stick with Spitfires since they are a known quantity.
I seem to recall inch sizes were readily available the last time I was shopping which, iirc, was Spring 2018...
I'm 6300 miles into my fourth set of the Michelins though, and will be getting another set this spring. Love them.
Call me Mel. Some years ago- never mind how long precisely- having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me at home, I thought I would ride about a little and see the other parts of the world.
