I've noticed with Max that their internal linking isn't perfect. Search for a rear tyre to fit a R60/6, there's no match... for a R80, there are several. Both bikes use the same tyre.

The only brands I see available for purchase are Continental,Metzeler, and Michelin.

Regarding MAX, it is also noteworthy to me that they've stopped offering Avon tyres; at least as per the /7 fiche.

If metric has become common, probably I'll stick with Spitfires since they are a known quantity.

I seem to recall inch sizes were readily available the last time I was shopping which,iirc,was Spring 2018...
I can confirm this. I managed to get the rear off and on in a nighttime incident late last summer but managed to poke a hole in the tube and was therefore unsuccessful. I did find the piece of steel wire that caused the flat.

I'm 6300 miles into my fourth set of the Michelins though, and will be getting another set this spring. Love them.
