Thank for the elaboration, Rob.

I opened up the valve cover today on the right side and there’s virtually no axial play in the rocker arms, save for just a tiny enough amount to notice some oil movement when pressure is applied.

However, I did have a particularly large amount of gap between the exhaust rocker contact point and the valve contact point. I tightened that up juuuust a smidge and it seems to have eliminated the noise I was hearing.

I’ll give it a few more rides and keep listening.

That's exactly how it should be.
