Thank you. That's exactly what I was thinking to do. I'll report back.

Maybe cleaning where the housing touches the stocks will solve the issue. You could verify it's a grounding issue with a long wire touching the outside of the socket to a frame or battery ground to see if by passing the housing ground solves issue.
Correct, no ground wire on /6 front turn signals. I powder coated some TS stalks and had to grind some of that away where the pod attached to get a good ground going through the stalk and fork.

"NOTE: The relay has a "bulb out feature" which means that when one of your bulbs is burned out (or you have a bad ground), the remaining turn signal (on the burned out side) will continue to blink, but the dash indicator will blink once, then stop."

Now I wonder if it is a bad ground (given that the bulb is also new) and the relay is doing what is supposed to with it's "bulb out feature".
Ah, I was thinking of the stock unit... The enduralast appears to be a totally different setup.

Are all of the indicator lamps working as they should.

Yes, all of the other indicators lights work as it should. I forgot to say that this bike has no front turn signals. The original flasher relay did the same thing. That's why I took it out in the first time. I lost it and had to get the Enduralast. I'll deal with this next weekend.

Worth checking but a '76 model /6 should have a dedicated ground wire to each indicator (This was the first year it was fitted). If a particular machine doesn't have them, it is a good and simple upgrade to fit them...

I guess it boils down to if the housing is aluminum or plastic, plastic would require a separate wire.

Not sure if I'm getting this right but I think you're saying that the bike doesn't have front indicators fitted. If this is correct, then the relay will 'see' it as a blown bulb and react accordingly... In other words, there's nothing wrong with the relay, it just won't work properly in a circuit with a missing bulb. I would expect a generic three terminal relay to flash rapidly if it were fitted.

1976 bikes should have two wires to each T.S. bulb as the housings were black plastic starting in '75. One ground and one hot.

IF you have the older metal housings (they came on /5 and '74 only /6 models), then yes, there would be one hot wire for each of the front T.S. bulbs as the housing grounds to the mounting post. The rear T.S. bulbs should still have two wires as the plastic fender doesn't ground very well. :(

FWIW, the ground path for the metal T.S. housings on the front can be flaky. I added extra ground wires to these on my '74 R90s to solve intermittent flashing problems.
