... and my R90S is January 1974.

I'll claim today as her birthday. Happy 37th.

Yeah, but the poor sweetie probably thinks she's just 17, given that she's languished under your house for a couple of decades while you go traipsing around with those firm young orange-flavoured strumpets with knobby tyres, power, brakes, electronics, etc

ps: Shame, Bigfella, shame!

pps: Happy Birthday, poor ol' R90S. Brunhilde says 'Hi'.

You joke Charlie, but the wife of my latest bike's previous owner turns out to be the girl I sold my immaculate 100/7 to in 1988. The bike had full luggage and had done hardly any miles, but I lusted after something more modern with flashier graphics and more valves. Heather, the girl who bought her, still has her now with over 100,000 miles between them in shared journeys.

In the meantime I've had plenty of good times with "orange flavoured strumpets" but it took me twenty odd years to recognise what I was too young and stupid to see before: the particular charms of the airhead require a degree of maturity in the rider before they become apparent. A bit like French women, and single malt whisky...

There's a thought. 10:35pm on Australia Day and I'm still writing a stinking report. Must be time for a single malt.

That's a nice bit of subtle humor there Bigfella: double posting as if your work fatigue caused you to make a mistake.

I'm looking forward to your next post wherein we will see the affects of a single malt on top of fatigue.
