Hey Beemersandducs, i sent you an e-mail.

Hey Vanzen,
Was Dick a part of this forum? how do you know of this person?

I was thinking of making the caps with the CAD data and giving it to somebody with a CNC machine. There are companies that will make whatever you give them...

And yes, i wish i had a lathe... the 4-5 times a year i'd use it, it sure would be handy.

I was wondering if the nut/cap on a /2 serves the same purpose, and is the same size as a /5 and later swingarm nut.
They obviously changed it for a reason and i'm sure it is an improvement. but... i was just wondering....

Jon-Lars (R90S) will be the one to answer with the low-down on Dick Casey.

CNC ? CAD ? WTF ?
Hey – C'mon, man ! I'm old-school ! (laughing)
I can work up a set of drawings or operate a lathe –
but using my head, hands, and whatever tools that are necessary !
If I wanted the S-A decoration,
I'd be thinking about turning a 1947 Lady Liberty 50 cent-piece to fit:

Given the skyrocketing price of silver,
I could pry them out in a pinch to buy me out of a jam ...

... someone here will have experience with /2 caps.

Two different animals; /5 cap clips to the inside of the hole it's in. /2 cap screws over the end of the pivot pin, so the threads are on the inside. Not sure if the early and late pivot pins could be interchanged, but the hexagonal base of the /2 cap does not completely cover the /5 mounting hole...

I think I would rather have a pair of these, if I were to go for bling, that is:

Certainly a better design motif, an excellent choice, in fact ...

but then I was only thinking in terms of emergency funds, the value of silver,
and Corporatism's patent destruction / disregard of "Liberty".

Silver isn't going up, it is the US dollar sinking in value..........mostly. Silver is in a bit of a shortage as a commodity. I think it is mostly becoming a poor man's gold for people who actually wish to sort-of preserve value. I don't really know.

Well,

If the offers still open, I'm interested in a set of SA caps.
