It's really useful when you are warming her up .Cruising you don't lock it ,just reduce the return pressure a bit ....easier on your wrist .

Throttle lock is a misleading term. It isn't difficult at all to roll the throttle off.
Throttle locks do make it easier to clean the bike while riding tho'.
Sibbo, my bolt is 8mm x .8mm I think. 13-14 threads over 10mm.
Overall length is 20mm with the last 5mm stepped down to about 4mm.

We didn't give the thread dimension because we don't know it. I think it is pretty special and probably not available in the hardware sources. If I wanted to plug the hole, I'd whittle a hardwood plug.

At one time Justin Bowser, who used to frequent this forum, was starting production of that throttle "cruise control" do dad. I believe Justin is still the custodian of the R65 list, so a bit of googling might get anybody interested in touch with him.

Wave at HD riders?

Ideal requirements for a home made job.
The throttle screw *must have a large diametre knurled head to enable easy operation with yer gloves on while riding.
And just the right spring tension range so one doesn't end up fighting spring pressure before the desired setting is achieved.
Just like a bought one really.
But! you do have a lathe?
*safety, simple to use. imo.
