Re: Silicon Brake Fluid

hi to all, well i missed this post , this is my 2 cents worth, ive been using belray dot 5 silicone brake fluid for so many years on both of my bm's it aint funny ! ( 1976 R90/6 highly modified thou(sold) and 1975 R90S ), and as to date ive had no issues at all with the S . when i owned the /6 i fitted dot 5 into that bike as well , again with no issues , and at that time i did some huge ks and very quickly at speed at that, with no brake failures ! when i rebuilt my R90S around sixteen years ago i flushed the whole system out and dropped in the DOT 5, and later on fitted some s/s brake hoses so gave it another flush out at that time and im still using dot 5 after all of these years, with flushing as reqired. im aware that they silicone brake fluid does not feel as well as dot 4 well on the lever but i can live with that.
