Jean must have a different type of center stand. I think my springs attach to the frame near the front engine mount through bolt. Nothing by the swing arm.

Could be the fact that you ordered them from Motobins.
I was having issues with their parts and then realized that they sell lots of aftermarket parts. Not BMW parts.
I stopped ordering from them once i realized this and they wouldn't warranty the crap i bought (that eventually broke or looked like crap).

Chuey, you're so right. My ride-off stand springs fasten to the cross-member near the swing arm, the normal stand springs go forward to a frame pin.
But they DID break at that loop...and otherwise want to spring off if installed with any twist. Which is to say, if the loops are not formed just right, they will want to jump off. I discovered this with the springs on the R100RS...
