I do not know if this will work or not, but on my 1150RT I bought a front fenda extenda and the instructions said clean well and use a good grade of silicon caulking to hold in place. It has been on for two years now. My extenda is carbon fiber and not rubber, so it is a bit lighter. Might be worth a shot
