Not sure which came first, The Borg in Startrek or the Vogons in Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy. I much prefer the Vogons.

Vogons predate Borg by quite a bit, maybe two decades?
Edit: Nope, looked it up, it was exactly one decade: '79 - HHG published, '89 - first Borg episode (although the HHG was first a radio play in '78, but still
almost exactly a decade).
