I've had this blue hose on for about 6 years now. No sign of hardening. It did turn green after only a short while though.
The only draw back I've seen is it can be difficult to remove from a fuel nipple when you need to pull the tank.

The hose that lost part of itself, only to be found in the main jet, had only been on a few months old.
