True. The maintenance intervals have become much longer, and the reliability is far superior to the Ducs of the past, and really quite good by any standard. Still, valve adjustments are a $1000 at the dealer, or a weekend project that needs a $400 shim set if you don't have a dealer nearby to get shims from. Not anymore! I'm hearing excellent reports on reliability and reduced maintenance requirements. Still nothings cheap about owning a Duck.
Oh, and most Duc owners are still terrified at the prospect of riding their bikes in the rain, so they still have a ways to go in the "bulletproof" department.
