But havingsaid that, the Rabid Transit was one of those (better) aftermarket fairings
available on the market back in the day.
Much in tune with the Hannigan, a fairing
that exhibited above average aerodynamics, provided very good all-weather comfort,
and even increased gas mileage vs the same unfaired MC –
but it was HEAVY !
Such that, if one expected the usual airhead BMW handling performance,
a change of fork spring to the BMW-HD or a Progressive (known to be stiff) would be necessary
and even then, one could still expect brake dive to be truly dynamic !
Through the course of his marketing career, Don Vesco made, used, and sold numerous fairings.
The Rabit Transit may only represent the one that had the best market success ...
