Has done on my plastic face shield.
I put it on my truck windshield too. At highway speed the water just beads and flys up over the screen.
nb I have never actually used my shield on a plastic face.

I once E-mailed Rainex.
They said they don't recommend using it on plastic, just glass.

I've found that Rain-X works fine on a face shield in the rain, but leaves a film that I hate in bright sunshine. I'd only find it acceptable if it rained most of the time and the sun never shown, IOW's, if I lived in Seattle.

I just ordered some anti-fog called "CatCrap" from E-Bay.
Perhaps it will help drip rain water off the inside.
There is always Pledge. Though I have not tried it on the inside, it helps to bead water off the outside.

Perhaps it will help drip rain water off the inside. BMW also sell their version of anti fog spray, which works. It requires regular use, and gets overwhelmed once the inner visor is wet from rain pouring down the inside. I think it works by absorbing the moisture somehow...to a point.

It's a good softener of road bugs on the visor and leaves a nice clear visor. It also gets overwhelmed once there's too much moisture.It helps, but doesn't last, and needs regular application. I've wondered about treatment options for my Nolan N103 full face helmet.
I often leave the face visor slightly ajar as the built in vents dont seem to be able to provide complete solution against breath condensation....
Ive been blindsided a few times coming to a stop in traffic by the visor fogging over almost instantly!..... a pretty character building experince for a newly returned to riding rider!
Is "rainex" something that you apply or is it a pretreated alternative visor?
Any thoughts?

cOMES IN A BOTTLE...oops...wipe it on, buff a little. Autobahn, Supercheapauto etc will have it Doug.

I'm running a
HJC Heated Anti-Fog Double Lens Snow Mobile Shield when it's cold AND rainy.
The problem I had was when I cracked open my normal shield, the moisture on both sides would freeze.
HJC also sells a Breath Box so you're not breathing on the shield directly.
I run some spray by "Scott" (sort of oily) when it's warm enough to crack the shield up at stops.
