The 76 brand 4T Motorcycle oil I used to sell went from a ZDDP content of 0.138% down to around 0.098% when they added "SJ" to the label evan though they still has "SG" on the label as well.

It is too bad it is so hard to find these specs. ConcoPhillips has allways been good about posting info to us but other companies, Shell for example, feel it unneccesary to do so.

On the link you posted it shows a Zinc content of 0.112% which is a tich low, but much better than most automotive oils.

Another good spec that they show is a Flash Point of 230C, which is important for an aircooled engine. A lot of new auto and some new diesel oils are as low as 200C. The lower the flash piont the sooner oil consumption begins.

OK THANKS FOR SOME ANSWERS ...but still not clear on the wt. i have never used a 20-50 wt in any thing i own so val 20-50 is a good choice i see ..... now the trans and shaft drive can take a full syn Gl-85-90 wt.

Yes on the 80/90 synthetic gear oils.
