All done (for now anyway),
Aired/dryed out the tank, wiped off all of the loose liner I could, blew the tank out with air, replaced both Petcocks and dumped the gas back in.
No leaks and she runs and idles like she should.

It was enough for the R65 and R80G/S & ST series, but that was after Duane's time.

How many models only came with one, like my R65 and some of the R80 models?
Now I know why I can only go 105!

My '78 R100s with stock 40 Bings runs fine with only one petcock open.
And enigmaT's observation is right on for our R80 with /2 tank: only ONE petcock so there's no option.
