Please tell me how, before I order it from the library. The description of the movie says nothing that might imply hot babes in body paint.

You got that right (virtually), but I am still having difficulty finding the common link between European body-painted lesbians and this movie "300".
IMDb wrote:In the Battle of Thermopylae of 480 BC an alliance of Greek city-states fought the invading Persian army in the mountain pass of Thermopylae. Vastly outnumbered, the Greeks held back the enemy in one of the most famous last stands of history. Persian King Xerxes lead a Army of well over 100,000 (Persian king Xerxes before war has about 170,000 army) men to Greece and was confronted by 300 Spartans, and several hundred Arcadians. Xerxes waited for 10 days for King Leonidas to surrender or withdraw left with no options he moved. The battle lasted for about 3 days and after which all 300 Spartans were killed. The Spartan defeat was not the one expected, as a local shepherd, named Ephialtes, defected to the Persians and informed Xerxes of a separate path through Thermopylae, which the Persians could use to outflank the Greeks.

The Spartan defeat would not have happened if not for a local shepherd, named Ephialtes, who defected to the Persians and informed Xerxes of a separate path through Thermopylae, which the Persians could use to outflank the Greeks.
Were stage actors at one time required to serve in the armed forces?

I think I would make a good body painter. That's it - I'm selling everything and moving to Southern California! Whee!

Ah, a common misconception.
We Thespians, are named for Thespis: the first "actor" in the Greek theatre.
Citizens of the ancient city of Thespiae, Greece are also know as Thespians, but are in no way related to us stage Thespians . . . except for the Greek connection (if you'll pardon the phrase).

Rob, only about sixty percent of Californians above the age of 18 make their primary living from body painting. The rest of us just watch and collect welfare.
