We've all fought with a bike that mysteriously stops working and won't start - fought with it for minutes, sometimes hours, sometimes we don't come back to it until the next day . . . when we notice the kill switch is on.
Nobody's perfect.
At least I've never called people to pick me and my dead bike up when the kill switch was on, but I know people who have.

I've been zooming down the open highway and the engine coughs, sputters and starts to croak. Meanwhile I instantly go in a semi-freak-out mode. Then, in the next breath, the little worm in the brain twitches and I turn on to reserve. All is well.

Ha, an easy fix and an inexpensive one. Cost some time, and had people thinking (not a bad thing).
Not only that, but Charles gets to keep the farm for his next wager. Strictly speaking, he was right - the float level was too low, way too low.
Well done, for sorting it, and thanks for reporting back.
ps: I made a silly mistake once. Very trivial. Not worth mentioning.
Hmm, could have been more than one, now I think about it. Prolly quite a few, in fact.
Some might not have been all that trivial, either.
