Yep, that's the way my voltmeters look, though the indicated "high" voltage (no headlight and charging) will vary from bike to bike. Which tells me that the voltmeters likely vary in sensitivity.

As for working....for a while, Voltmeters haven't been a problem for me. However clocks are a different story. I don't think I have even one that works. I need to put something else in the hole. Cylinder head temperature gage with a toggle switch to read left and right?
