I assume from your list of "stopped working" that everything else still works. Both the low beam and the high beam on the headlight?
Can you tell if the PO maybe installed one of those black-boxes that keep all the turn signals ON during normal operation, and then just blink the ones you want for a turn?
A long shot for sure, but they cause weird things to happen when they go wrong.
Brake pedal not returning is first thing to check on rear brake problem, then be sure the pads can be pushed back far enough to actually clear the disc. Also see that the disc is really clean, rust or sticky mystery stuff can cause grabby brakes.
The pads ARE designed to ride softly on the disc, BTW. Float, if you please.

Additional thought: Does the brake light work?
From schematics I have, the fuses are the most suspect. The tail light is on one fuse and the turn signals and horn are on the other one.
Bad luck that they are in the headlight shell...a trick to get to.
The clock is wired to run all the time, it just won't be illuminated if the fuse is bad.

Hello guys
just an update on the electrical situation I found the fuse in the headlight bucket was in fact blown out so I'm going to get a new one right now then I'll tackle the rear brake caliper issue!
Thanks, Todd

Everything works now except the tachometer light and I'm pretty sure it's just a bad bulb.
Thanks to everyone who chimed in with help and ideas!
This is a cool forum!
I love this bike!! She's gonna get some major mileage this season!

Check my odometer repair page for a bit of help getting into your instrument cluster. It's real E-Z.....

You'll work your way to photo 4 and back. Could be your bulb is ok (use continuity tester). The circuit board bulb ''tangs" (tang shown in close-up in photo 11) could be oxidized a bit keeping the bulb from working. Just pull the bulb out and clean the surfaces.

Thanks Randy, will do!
Yes I see the blue dots in the photo denoting the 'tangs'.
I'll probably use some aerosol contact cleaner, I've had good luck with that for a lot of stuff like this!

Sorry if I'm Captain Obvious here.....To play it safe, be sure you only spray on something like a Q-tip and not directly on the circuit board.
