Right, I'm in the pub at Hillston NSW having lunch with the other lads.
Heading north to Nymagee for the night.
I wasn't sure who to believe so I believed yez all.
I took a front tube, a back tube, and no tube. :mrgreen:

I too would rather have a spare front for use in the back as opposed to a rear stuffed into the front. Makes sense to me.
Ask the Indians what happens when you don't control immigration.

I guess I should have written: Though rear flats are more common, when I can only pack one tube I'll carry a front tube as you can use them in both wheels. The smaller rear tube shouldn't be used in the front IMO.

I'm in the opposite camp. I'd much rather have a tube have to stretch out to fit than have folds inside the tire.

Using a front tube in a rear tire won't make it bunch up. The outer diameter is the same.

I once stuffed an inflatable dinghy into my 18" rear tyre it got me home no problem. Now I always carry one
