A machinist here at work made the mounts for me. You guys convinced me in the other thread to not put them on my lower forks, so I didn't. They work well and I was grateful to have them this morning when I was riding not only in the dark but in the fog. Sibbo must have his wired to the high beam, but mine are just on a toggle switch which is good, because my high beam this morning was just reflecting back at me, while these were illuminating the road. If there had been deer I would have seen them. I met a few cars and nobody flashed their high beams at me, but to be fair sometimes I'm afraid to flash somebody who's blinding me... because what if THOSE are just his low beams? I was able to go 55 where there wasn't any fog, and usually nearly 40 in the fog. I've seen denser fog than what I had this morning where I would have to go even slower.

I have the 30 degree on the left side aimed to my right and down the road, and the 60 degree beam is on the right and pretty much aimed down and straight ahead. That's what I tried for anyway, I will fine tune them as soon as I get a chance with a dark parking lot and a wall to aim at. I don't have anywhere to do it at home.

The rear, too, I'm afraid. Not the best time of year for bald tires, but the roads are dry today.

I just put a different set on the GS:







They're a no-name-brand from China, found on Amazon for $27 delivered. Incredibly bright, but a bit more narrow-beam than I'd have preferred. The mount-bar cost more than the lights, sourced from Twisted Throttle. I was going to use home-made brackets but didn't like how they turned out. Still playing a little with the aiming, but they seem to be a good addition. The really nice thing about LED lights for you airhead guys is the low current-draw. My lights have 6 LEDs per light, for a total draw of 3 amps for the pair. I've got them on a switch rather than wired to a beam. I also have a pair of Motolights mounted to the brake-calipers by the bike's previous owner, but I never liked the caliper-mount so those might have to go.

Yeah, Twisted Throttle won't go out of business for making their profit margin too low, I don't think.
Good source for cool stuff, but I have found some items available much cheaper, elsewhere. More generic stuff than light bars, though.

Those are cool, Veg. Do you use them on the road? Even mine are nice off road, as tested on my long dirt driveway.

As an aside, I was in a car shop the other day where they had a set of fancy LED headlights apart on the bench and was stunned to see the low beam mechanism was simply a metal blade that dropped down? and cut off the light beam.
