Monoshocks ..... who knew there are so many?

Check more before you act on what I say but I believe Works supports their product. That is a despicable practice that Fox does by not supporting what they sell. They are somewhat like that in the bicycle world. Five years is their commitment. Not long enough for me!

I had the Fox twin clicker on my R100R (for sale) rebuilt by Fox a few years back. Working with them was easy and prices were fair. That is a wonderful shock and it works great. Sorry to hear that they no longer rebuild them.

I just stumbled across this forum - looks like a great place for a guy with a 1987 R80RT

My bike had a FoxShox Twin Clicker and I had it rebuilt a couple of times by this guy: http://www.daughertymotorsports.com/sus ... shock.html Got tired of blown seals, etc. and put a Progressive monoshock on her a few months ago as I've had experience with them on Yamahas. Very happy with it.

Thanks - and my pleasure to be of assistance. Jamie did good work and is worthy of trust, but the Twin Clicker blew seals every 6 months - and I ride on paved roads, between 6 and 12 thousand miles a year. PO on my bike put Progressive springs in the forks. I replaced the steering head bearings last December, followed by the new mono-shock. Best handling bike I've ever owned.

I sent my Works to Works Performance in Ca. 818-701-1010. They changed seals, oil, rubber bumpers, bearing sleeve, and general service. Just over $100. (including shipping). It would be worth buying a blown Works and having it renewed.

Just to provide information: Jamie Daugherty charges $75 including return shipment for rebuild for a Twin Clicker. I sold mine to another Airhead rider who was happy to be able to ride a Fox and have a credible service provider available. I'm happy to have a shock that provides a very good ride and hope it holds together for many years - as other Progressives have.
