Wouldn't hurt, but doesn't need to be too tightly held on.

Last night while slowly trolling through the internet for bike parts in Europe, I stumbled on this pair of very nice keihan stainless mufflers, so I had the seller throw into the postage a flasher relay and rear mudflap for the RS all very cheap. and postage was not a killer either.

And with my existing header pipes stainless and in excellent condition that now gives me a complete stainless system.



Also I was reading on a bmw facebook page where a bloke just purchased a new set of Keihan mufflers last week in the UK for an RS and they were 365 pounds ($670.00 oz dollars), my three items were under half that with postage..

Its always great to track down a bargain. Just how much was the postage?
I fancy a set of Hoskes from Germany, just because I do, its on my one day when I can waste some money list.

So today I had a good crack at the new wiring loom and got power to the dash and the stator motor would engage from the button, then SteveD called in around 5.00pm on his way back through from Dinner Plains and we spent a couple of hours sorting out the USA specked loom to get it over to a UK specked loom, its to do with the headlight wiring on/off at ignition, all is now working, all lights, hi/low, indicators, everything, many thanks SteveD, it was a great help!!!

Now to finish this bike off and get the dash panel and fairing all on..

Was Steve showing any signs of excess curve syndrome? It's getting tough up in the mountains now. More and more blacktop accross the Great Dividing Range.

Grant - I had a complete Keihan SS system on my RS.
Fit was excellent, sounded great, and much lighter than the original.
It took on that lovely SS patina with some use.

Jeff - I must say Steve was looking a little sheepish and pale around the choppers, could of been either the delayed red wine reaction from high altitude excessive consumption or that excess curve syndrome that I have heard so much of lately as bikes decent down from the mountains and gingerly make their way along the freeways towards the big smoke of the metropolis...

Dougie - Yes the keihan mufflers will be a big improvement on the clapped out, internal-less "'no named" pipes I have on there now, they polished up nice but are very bloody loud .. wait and see I guess!!!
