BMW commonly used up parts and often they didn't run out at the year end as would be nice. A few times they later found another box and used them a year later. That was confusing.

It is best to understand that a new year model was sort of a rubber date.


I believe that the factory holiday changed a bit over time. Or, I don't remember.

I was always under the impression that most of Europe's manufacturing took off the month of August.
