My Boges and Ikons both have adjustment for Solo, 2 up, and 2 up + luggage.
I'd think about taking your bike if unsure, to someone who knows Suspension and
get them to check your Konis. I believe Konis can be rebuilt?,
I suspect Ikon sells the kits.
So Dwire, hows about a photo of the 'ol girl? ;)
BTW, Would you know of anyone who'd be interested in a SWB /5 Rear rack?

Koni's are rebuildable with Ikon parts.
Bench Mark BMW has them much cheaper http://benchmarkworks.com/

Here's a link to some more information. http://airheadtechforum.yuku.com/topic/ ... hocks.html
There's a better link with pictures somewhere. Maybe someone else can find it.

Thanks Matt. It is one of those things - I simply have not the experience to know "by the seat of my pants" or anything. It'll definitely take me tearing them down, or having someone with plenty of experience as far as what one should expect out of these rear dampers than I have.

I can say this much. I can only guess 40 year old shocks, regardless of mileage are likely to need repaired. I'll bookmark your links for when I do the job - likely soon the way gas is going! I too will have to lower the mufflers to get them off, but since these were replaced by the PO less than ten years ago, that part "ought" to be pretty easy. (Famous last words perhaps?)

Thanks and have a great holiday.
