I wish someone would give me a Gold Star.
I'd even take this one.

Is that a Yamaha engine in that thing? I'm surprised people aren't throwing rotten tomatoes.

Yes, an XT500 or 600 or something like that. I read a clip in The Classic Motorcycle after I took those pics, someone over in Britan was building them on a custom order basis.

You're a "card" - MS. Gave me a smile; something we should all do more often.

Yeah, MS and Garnet, that shocks me a bit too. Although I know some of those Japanese bike's engines ran rather well. That sort of change just puts me in mind of someone removing the original helicopter engine from a Tucker to shoehorn say a Chevy V-8, which I think everyone could agree would be rather illogical.
Honestly, I do not know a lot of the value of an old BSA like that, aren't they worth something, or is that just all in my mind?
Anyway, Golden Star for you Garnet, for the pics (and plenty of other posts as well) Sadly, I cannot afford the BSA for you at this time; not even the one with the Jap engine.
I'm going to get in trouble; pretty soon everyone will be asking why they've been excluded from the Golden-Star-A-Day club!
Thanks and enjoy gentlemen.
