That is a common practice when building a /2 conversion. The swing arm has to be offset to centre the drive shaft in the tube. I overcame that by mounting my /5 engine slightly cock-eyed in the frame which put the swing arm back in the centre of the frame.mattcfish wrote:

Not that this helps our buddy from South Africa.
I have used wheel spacers and off-center SA spacing w/ wider tires to maintain stock spec track offset.mattcfish wrote:
