No worries, I can always look after your daughters.teo wrote:Hi Indian,
I reluctantly have a facebook address due to my daughters but don't go there unless they prompt me. Always a surprise to see what info has been shared and who is looking for you. Consequently I shy away from that as well as Linkedin.
BUT, more importantly, welcome back as Indian or Ounni. I'm Ted but Teo fits too.
Glad to see you're ok. We missed you.

Re: Facebook.
For all those who are afraid of Facebook, I will say my perspective. The man has every word that we've ever typed into the internet at his disposal.
If you want or need to be totally below the radar, then only deal in cash, never go to banks, do not have a cell phone. That will be an excellent start. If you have not followed all of those and more precautions, the man knows your every thought and has enough on you to come after you when the revolution comes.
One thing you should know about facebook: All women look fantastic on facebook. There are no pictures of women who are homely on facebook. If they can't put up a current picture that makes them look good, they'll go as far back as they need to to look fantastic. Just an observation I've made.

I have been to Slovenia twice and really liked it a lot. However, my friend there died at only 42 a couple of years ago. How did the GPS work out?
Ask the Indians what happens when you don't control immigration.

The GPS did give some problems, but it was also the best thing for me. The experience of 40 years of Alps touring was programmed into the GPS. I would never have been able to choose my route and ride alone otherwise. The routes were fantastic. On popular passes I saw groups of tour guided motorcyclists all in a line and riding together. I could never do a tour like that.Duane Ausherman wrote:I have been to Slovenia twice and really liked it a lot. However, my friend there died at only 42 a couple of years ago. I have postphoning my trip to Turda to the vintage race there. My wife hates bikes so I keep the bike as a backup.....
Next year I will be there. This year we travel to Rhodos on the 26/7 for a week. I hope to ride to Holland to the R90S meet at Teo Terwel in August and might take a quick ride to say hello to Silvia Israel and fits a couple of forged pistons and crash bars. After that a quick ride through Austria, Hungary and Romania if time permits.
I have been working as a teacher all winter at a techinical school for auto mechanics and the kids just loved me. I hope to get a similar job this winter.

I've got the same opinion, and I don't like to have personal information on internet or telling my life.dougie wrote:Facebook? No.
I think there is some danger in having personal info out there for wackos to use and abuse.
But this is a personal opinion, and I can understand that some of us like FB etc
