That thing went for $3000! I figured for $1000 (my max bid) , if you re-did the seat and hit it with about 8 gallons of CLR it'd look passable. Who knows what kinda shape it was in mechanically, but if it was sitting like that all those years it likely needed more than some break-free in the cylinders and a fresh battery.

What a great project though! It's a California bike. I bet most of the causmetic damage was due to the sun. The internals may be in amazingly good shape.

About 5-10 years ago, you could have bought a solid runner for $3000.
Prices for these beauties are INSANE!!!!! (anybody remember crazy eddie commercials?)
