An interesting link. I see the side stands thru /7 aren't for sale to the rest of the world, probably because the footpeg requires a mod. Anybody have an idea what the mod does? I'm guessing that it has all to do with the fact that the /5 thru /7 footpegs mount onto the thru rear engine mounting bolt. So I'm guessing the mod is to make room for the upper, non swinging, part the Surefoot.

I know that the '85 and up momolever airheads require a longer thru bolt if you want to mount a Brown sidestand. I pulled the longer rear thru bolt from a parts bike that I will use to mount the Brown sidestand onto my '91RT.

I understand that the Brown side stands are becoming increasingly scarce (and increasingly expensive) here in the U.S. A Surefoot side stand would seem to be a viable option especially if the Surefoot stands were available here.

The Surefoot also requires a longer bolt, but it is supplied with the stand.
