Copper Head Gaskets

Aren't typical head temps in the 200ºF - 350º F range ?

Out in the garage, I found (likely what I've used on copper head gaskets):
Loctite 819 Hylomar – rated temp limit: 600º F (329º C)

Locktite 601 was the factory recommendation on late model Triomph/BSAs .

Loctite 601 - rated temp limit: 302º F (150°C)
