It's a speedway bike. No front brake. :)

Well, now the baby seems to have arrived and the price on this odd bike is down. Not quite down to what I'm prepared to pay, but the rainy season has started here. I've alerted Mrs. melville to the situation, and she hasn't said NO NO NO yet.
I had her read this first:

Seemed to help.
I would need it not to be a distraction from my /6 project, and I think I could keep it aside for a while. I have a deck to build and a sunroof VW to reassemble anyway.

Damnit, I can't see if'n there's a second disc up there! Sent an email, hopefully I can check this out tomorrow.
Looks like it was a rigid bobber project.

Wow Melville, from what I've seen on US Ebay, that baby will prolly go for 15 large
Is Craiglist more sensible?

I'm shooting for barely three figures, maybe less. All I really want is a second disc for my R75, anything else is just a hassle.

I've seen a number of CB's lately and now this poor airhead. What is it about removing the function of the rear suspension that drives customizers to mutilate these machines? I can see why it might be disireable on a 1930's Indian, but
what's up with the de-evolution of these other classic machines.

I think I've seen this guy's work before, blacksmith rigid rear and flat black rattlecan style. I've seen a similar Virago (Shadow?) and an early GoldWing, among others. The Wing looked awesome, if you're into that kinda thing.
This one looks like he got the rear non-suspension worked out but was stymied when it came time to figure out the seat. That, or he found that the bike had a Bring My Wallet problem.
No word from the seller, but the ad's still up.

So, if he is into building bikes, why does this one look like it was leaned up
behind the garage for about 10 years before he rolled it inside for pics?
