My Dad, a mechanical engineer, got me started with rubber powered freeflight. Then one Christmas a Cox .049 powered control line P-40 Warhawk arrived. The instructions said to practice before flying by turning around 60 times, I usually only made it to 16... That's when I got into hand launch gliders. I've done some gas and electric powered R/C over the years, but slope soaring is my favorite, more air time and no fuel costs!
