Re: I won!
I rode to the Harvest Classic a few weeks ago, 646 miles round-trip and the bike performed flawlessly (but I am OLD!). I just jammed my pockets full on my Barbour jacket and went for it!
I rode to the Lone Star rally (but it's kinda cheating as it's less than 70 miles round-trip), When they gave me the big trophy I was concerned with how I was going to get it home so I "Brandoed" it on with bungee cords and rode home (it rode fine). The competition was pretty much your standard brightly-painted farm implements, some were done-well but most were just silly and over-the-top and arrived on trailers!
This new job is giving me time to play with old-bikes and my other toys so I am taking full advantage.

Yup, that;s what living's for! Plenty of time to work when you're dead, I reckon!Unclviny wrote: This new job is giving me time to play with old-bikes and my other toys so I am taking full advantage.
Sweet 5, Vince... (from a fellow /5phile).
If there was an award for an original i'd give it a go, rust and dents not withstanding.
I like my 5 (a lot) and would not hesitate to ride her 'round the continent starting tomorrow morning... hmmm, now that sound like a good idea!
