Matt black? I chose those colors hoping that one or two cage drivers might see me. The only other options were red and silver or wait for a (shiny) black one from the warehouse. We all know waiting is no fun. :)

I rode it to work for the first 4 days last week. On the 5th day there was a threat of rain about when I would be leaving work, so I took the car. I don't want to get it dirty for the first time on a lousy commute!

It is GREAT fun! I haven't been this excited about riding in a long time. I love this bike!
I have been studying Google Maps like crazy planning my ride. I won't go as far as Kentucky I don't think, but I will spend a night or two in southern Indiana.
The reason I am planning my ride (hi vanzen!), instead of wandering about is so I can catch the little diners and the freaky curvy roads that are hidden away here in Indiana. A couple of examples:

Where I will spend the first night (probably): http://www.lanninghouse.com/

Day 2 might be something like this: http://goo.gl/maps/DLkFI

I hope to spend the 2nd night at a "dude" ranch: http://rawhideranchusa.com/Index.html

Looks like some fun routes. Nothing better than squeezing every last drop of power out of motor. Cane that little rice burner all you want. It will still run forever, and maybe even better for it. Just keep the oil clear.

Oh yeah - I hope to stop here on day two for a late lunch: http://58cafe.com/

That is the biggest reason for heading back east after visiting point B (which is a sight to behold!), and will cause me to go into a 3rd day.

Poor kitty...

So Rob -
Are you gonna do an Akropovic slip-on and a Bazzaz fuel controller?

Yeah - no map, no hours, not even coordinates! It's not even on Google Maps!

I'm going to have to have a talk with the owner while I am there...

Hey! The people in the pictures on their website are smiling, so it must exist! After all, it is on the internet!
