gg, re the pigtails to the modern fuses, I don't clip them onto the little fuse tangs - I just use the normal male spade terminals adjacent to them, by adding 'double-adaptor' terminals.
I started loathing the stock fuses years ago. I had to go in there, poking around in the rat's nest so many times. The little tangs that hold the fuses were bent, tired and corroded, and it seemed that the fuses kept trying to transform into diodes.
O, and my snap-in headlight kept falling out and I had to run a band of black electrical tape around the join.
Anyway, I'm glad to hear that you are up and running, along with an increase in knowledge.
