Perhaps after your (crazy) 1600 kilometre day you and she will be welded together for life. Sometimes it takes a little adventure, living in each other's pockets, being dependent on each other, to get the juices flowing.

O, and disregard ZM's comment. This is an airhead you are talking about. Anything could go wrong.

My neck tends not to get sore riding the Triumph, I suspect because the wind holds my head up. When it's not wobbling my head all over. My butt gets sore though.

Well if you need to do a 1000 mile day, then you are looking for bragging rights. A thousand mile day on a Hondapatamus is like doing it in a Camry. If you want full credit you have to do it on a Triumph T100C like I did. But I get no bragging rights because I was still in my teens and felt no pain.

This is an assumption that completely ignores the nature of the person whom you are judging. Having experienced Chuey both on the site and in person, I thing "bragging" is about as unnatural to him as anything I can imagine. Your mind-reading powers are as sharp as ever - that is: nonexistent.

SOME people look forward to certain experiences just to know that they have done them, and to know what they are like - also (with this particular experience) to know whether it is anything they care to do on a more regular basis. I've done it - once - and the most important thing I learned was that I have no interest in ever doing that again.

Am I looking for bragging rights? Is it a mountain I want to climb because it's there? People ask me if it's a "bucket list" thing. I don't like that term. I don't really know but other people make a bigger deal out of it than it is to me. Maybe it's because I can't get up on the bar and dance to Tequila in the way that Pee Wee Herman did.
