oNCE i CUT THE LOOM, oops, I then cut the correct length of correct diameter heat shrink tubing. That went over the existing loom before the connecting happened. More staggered than my picture is better, but mine was ok regardless, especially as it is out of sight.
Once all connections are complete, move the pre positioned heat shrink tube to cover the work and use a hair dryer to melt it into position. You'll have a nice and clean appearance as a result.

The entire purpose of heat-shrink tubing is to show you how often you fail to plan ahead properly.... :oops:
