How are the Activ's in the wet?

I need some decent rubber on my new little scooter and these are on the short list of tyres that will fit.

This has been good advice for me!

Although I've quite a few miles left on the Metzler Lasertecs, selections seem somewhat limited in the 90-90x18 for my front. The rear 120-90x18 is also somewhat limited. AND getting anywhere from 48' - 60" of rain per year in Oregon's Willamette Valley demands a tire that maintains its grip on the wet roads.

THANKS to everyone for their input! Looks like Michelin's Pilot Activ will be going on next.

I found the Lazertech to follow the groves in the road more than the few other tires I've had (and, I've only had a handful, so that's not saying much--I agree).

ME thanks for the review. I'm due for new tires and I was thinking about going for a dual compound tire to avoid the flattening off. It looks like I'll shoe horn a set of Pilot Actives on when the tires get replaced.

What a terrible subject title. I had to read a few posts to even get a clue what this was about.

It could have been about a gay airplane pilot.

That's funny Duane! I guess I only knew what the subject was because I've been pondering a set of those for when I wear out my current Battleaxe S11 tires.

I don't have a problem in the wet because I slow down on corners, but I would like to get more miles out of a tire than I do from S11, BT45, Avon Roadriders, or Conti-Goes. I never seem to get more than 6,000 miles on a rear and not much more on a front. My bike must be too heavy. These are all for the R65.

Now that you've brought it up, it probably will be.
